Stilton Walnut and Apple Pie

This is a lovely Pie. It’s not heavy at all, and it’s moist on the inside and lovely and crispy on the outside. Of course it is really tasty nice and it looks like a pie, although I also thought about calling it a ‘crumble’. It looks like a cross between a pie and a crumble I suppose!

You can even freeze it or reheat it. You can call this vegetarian or vegan if you add the right cheese.

I usually serve this Stilton Walnut and Apple Pie along with the cheese board – I like to be different and serve this as on the side of cheese board. I realise this is a bit unusual, but give it a try – it’s a great idea, trust me. My husband’s friend loved the idea when we served it – he went home and made one for himself, because most men seem to love Stilton. Most men apart from mine, that is, and that is why I use half Stilton and half Wensleydale as he loves it.

Having said that, you can’t use just any cheese in this recipe, it has to be a crumbly cheese. You can use some goat’s cheese as some types are quite crumbly.

So to inspire you to try this recipe, I invite you to close your eyes and imagine you are sitting by the fire with a glass of port in one hand and slice of Stilton Walnut and Apple Pie in the other – just imagine…… bliss.

Lets see how easy it is to make:
