Plum Sponge Pudding

This is a real treat. All my family look forward to me making it too.

Not only is this Plum Sponge Pudding nice and light and really fluffy, but it is also beautiful to look at. It is mouth-watering and really addictive, so it’s not surprising it is a great favourite with everyone I know who’s tried it!

I sometimes make two Plum Sponge Puddings, I cut them in half and freeze them, ready for when I have guests turning up unexpectedly, or for a weekend treat. This pudding will keep very well after de-frosting. I sometime make vanilla custard to serve with it, a lovely combination.

This recipe is explained step by step, and the ingredients are listed in order for you to follow – you will find this cake easy to make.

Baking should always be fun and hassle free, this way we bake more. I also think we should not be afraid to create a recipe. I have made many cakes that don’t turn out so good, but this is how we learn. We all may know how to make a sponge, but there are many techniques and lots of varieties. We all have our own way of baking, and I hope you will find the recipe as fun to make as I have.

Lets see how it is made:
