Pimm’s on ice! Wow! Who doesn’t enjoy a great cool summer drink? Well I certainly do! This is a very old-fashioned British drink. Almost as much of a tradition as a cup of English tea.
I think it’s a lovely refreshing drink, and perhaps everyone makes it a bit differently, I have certainly made it in all sorts of ways. One day I had one very ripe banana and so I added it to the mixture and it made it really interesting, bringing out a completely different flavour – it kind of perfumed the whole drink.
There is a traditional way of how to serve this beautiful drink, but like I said I prefer it this way. I know in the picture the jug is only half full and it’s not a brilliant photo, but I made it for my husband and I whilst we were chilling in the garden on a Friday evening – some of it had already been enjoyed!.
As I had already taken this photo of my drink and put it on Google+, some of my friends had never heard of it, so I thought to myself that I’d add the recipe to my blog, so I did. I do hope some of you who never tried this drink will make it and enjoy it as much as we did.
Now let’s make some and see how fruity it is:
