Coorg Style Chicken Curry

Coorg Style Chicken Curry

This is a nice and spicy curry that you can make in a flash – Coorg Style Chicken Curry.

I had never heard of the name before, but the flavour is something else. So how did I discover this beautiful recipe? Well, one day I fancied a quick but really tasty curry that I was able to adapt and make extra hot, so I looked at a few recipes and other blogs and this one jumped right out at me!

I have to say the clever lady who made this Coorg Style Chicken Curry she was jumping for joy as I was the first person who made one of her curries – it is from Anitha Gowda

How lovely to hear that I made someone happy because I liked her recipe. Well lady, I do like it and don’t forget that I felt the same as you when I had a friend of mine who loved my food. She took three of my recipes and put them on her blog, I have not even had the chance to even make them for my own blog –  I still haven’t!

As you all know how much I love spicy food, and I am still hunting for the best curry recipe to put into my collection, and I only do this for special curries with my twist. So watch out….. I might just visit you one day!

Let see how to make this gorgeous curry:

Instructions
  1. Put all the spice into a spice grinder and grind well. Then roast them lightly, set aside.
  2. Heat up the oil on a medium heat in a frying pan, then add the chillies, ginger and garlic, and saute for about 5mins.
  3. Add the chicken to the pan and mix well, then cook for about 5 mins.
  4. Now add the vinegar, then the yoghurt and bring to the boil. Then simmer until you see the oil has risen to the top.
  5. Decorate with lemon, chilli or mint it's up to you.
Recipe Notes

Never over-cook chicken breast or it will get tough. I was told this tip by a good chef. In the traditional recipe,  you don't add yoghurt but I prefer to.
